Well well, I'm in the land of Oz, and Sydney was much better than I expected. We walked from our hostel, Base Sydney, to the Opera House. Now I'm a fan of seeing a city on foot, but this was a few hours I could use back. The Harbour Bridge and the Opera House were beautiful, no doubt, but from Base a taxi is about 13AUD. WORTH IT.

I was able to show my American friend an Aussie uni tradition-the river cruise. Basically an excuse for binge drinking and a new dress, the river cruise is an institution in Perth and apparently Sydney as well.

Of course, my camera is inoperable. So no pictures. I'll be bothering my friend for some photographs. She owes me for pain and suffering.
